here is an Team up of the ages ( as far as I am concerned ) I always wanted to team these two up because of a few reasons ( namely because I own an Action Figure of one of them ….Scarlet Spidey ) and one I seen on an Cartoon from the 90s …yep the Mighty Queen of Qwendor herself Topaz (from Ultraforce ) .which later on I would buy and read back issues of Mantra and Ultraforce (pre Black September for the Ultraverse ) to me that was my favorite era before the Marvel Buy out of Malibu comics during the 90s . anyways I have always liked her design and backstory of basically being a more Aggressive Wonder Woman of the Ultraverse who was basically always ready to jump into battle at a moments  notice . on the old 90s cartoon of ultraforce I always found her to be the sometimes comic relief when paired with say Hardcase or Prime . anyways I always wanted an action Figure of this character back in the day . ^_^
and on the Left we have Ben Riley ( the former Scarlet Spidey / sensational Spidey of the 90s  ) he`s another one I really ,really like because of his Scarlet Spider costume design being something simple and unique in both its stark Color combination of the read body suit and the Blue Hoodie , I remember seeing this costume and charater on the last 2 episodes of the 90s Spider-Man Animated series ( I ,really hate Clones ) if I am right . and later on in my Teen Years I rediscovered good ol Ben on the Ps1 2000 activision Spider-Man game as An Unlockable costume ( first it was Scarlet Spidey and later Sensational Spidey costume simply titled Ben Riley ) which got me back into both reading comics from the 90s and later me making fan comics in High school . anyways   I really dig both Topaz and Ben because of their place in 90s comics . before the Ultraverse /Marvel universe (buy out ) merger and Black September , Insane crossovers with the Avengers , Dane Whitman as Leader of the Ultraforce for a little while . Loki being an Ass in the Ultraverse , Godwheel craziness .

and the Near Crash of the Comics Industry during the mid 90s . I blame Gimmicks ,Holofoil variants and issue # 1`s . and a few very terrible comic book movies of the mid to late 90s . but despite all that I still have a little fondness for a few characters from this era . namely the odd characters that stood out from the old mainstays . anyways Enjoy this Awesome Holofoil display of Maximum Cloneage ( All new Ultraforce team up ) or Something like that  ladies and gents .

Behold ….Magneto Rex
This is just a little doodle / Sketch I made today just for fun ^_^ , this is like my own little whimiscial twist on What If Polaris ( Lorna Dane of X-Factor Fame ) had Became an Second Magneto in an Alternate timeline  of some kind . ( pick one , anyone )  anyways I drew this with an Ball Point Ink Pen and I used Sharpies for Inking and Coloring . I was going for an Silver Age Feel  in Displaying her Magnetic Powers ( I was inspired by Jack Kirby`s orginal take during his brief run on X-Men in the 60s and a Little bit of Jim Steranko`s Op -Art Feel too )

I spent the better part of this morning drawing the 90s Peter David and Larry Stroman X-Factor team . in the process of creating this piece I was Inspired by the Art of Larry Storman (for strong guy and Wolfsbane`s Look ) while for Havok I drew him in his Costume as was designed by Joe Quesada at the time and Polaris I drew her in a Costume that Jan Duursema Had designed at the time that lasted into the Steve Epting run for a little bit . and Multiple Man I drew him in something that was a Mixture of what Larry Stroman and Jan Duursema had him designed for him at the time prior to his suppose death in issue #100 (at the time )
anyways I have been inspired by the All New X-Factor run to revisit the 90s version and roster of the team I remember from my childhood and my teens from reading in Back Issues . ^_^  this was my team for growing up in the 90s . also I really like their costume designs that Larry Stroman had created in 92 and how the following artist …Quesada , Duursema ,Raney ,Epting and Jeff Matsuda either made it their own or created something new based off of the concept .in terms of Inking I was really trying to do a mixture of Jimmy Palmitti and Al Milgrom in terms of the line weight and the colors I was Inspired by Glynis Oliver and Laura Allread .
enjoy my throwback /homage to 90s X-Men comics .^_^

Above are the work stages on the variant cover I drew for the upcoming first issue of Wayward, the cool new Image series by Jim Zubkavich and Steve Cummings, which hits the shelves in August.

More info from Zub on Wayward (including the all-important pre-ordering info) can be found here: http://jimzub.tumblr.com/post/88978616985/pre-order-time-for-wayward-1

Anyhoo, the work stages are:

1) Initial rough, with the idea of using the kanji for Tokyo subway stations as a backdrop. (As opposed to drawing the actual map, which wasn’t gonna happen.)

2) Modified rough, with a pose that brought the character closer to the camera.

3) Inks, ahoy, done with a Japanese Seburo quill and a Rapidograph tech pen.

4) Color guide.

5) Colors, by John (Invincible) Rauch. Worked out great, IMHO.

6) Guide for some minor tweaks to the facial coloring; I’m hypersensitive about nose shading patterns on the faces I draw, alas.

7) The completed cover, with the subway-station kanji added in by Steve.

Adam Warren shows the step-by-step process for his Wayward #1 alt cover. So good!

this I can learn a thing or two from ^_^

Spider-Man 2099 #1, November 1992, written by Peter David, penciled by Rick Leonardi

I am proud to own a copy of this ^_^ this cover kicks 2099 kinds of ass !by Rick Leonardi and Al Williamson   it was way a head of its time ( hell found this comic in the ps1 /n64 games as an unlockable along with the spidey 2099 costume ) so this alternate version of the web head has a warm spot in my heart . (also toy biz did make a figure back in the mid 90s ) he has always been an odd curiosity since my youth in the 90s .

Hello everybody , I know its been a while since I have posted any of my art on tumblr ( Life got in the way a little ) but I did make some time to make a little fan art for one of my favorite Image comics Rat Queens . anyways today`s piece is spotlighting Dee . who to me is an Enjoyable character I can relate too . not having the best luck in relationships and such ( Minus the Magic ^_^) anyways I really dig her over all character design and Body Language .  I am attracted to her Attitude most of all .
I will admit I was Inspired by a little bit of Walter Simonson Art after re-reading an Old Issue of X-Factor he did in 88 in terms of her Engery projection and burst coming from her hand. this was fun to put together during my downtown .
anyways look for this picture in an issue of Rat Queens Letters pages ( # 8 ) if I am right . anyways I proud to present this too you all . ^_^
Enjoy .

Super happy to dabble in the #WicDiv universe even if only for a special guest colorist cover! (thank you team #WicDiv!!)
You can order this variant for #1 from DCBS!
And be sure to add WICKED + DIVINE to your pulls - you won’t be sorry!!

This is something I talked about earlier.
Basically, while Matt has done some re-imaginings himself, we asked Jordie whether she’d do a retailer variant for us. We wanted to highlight what a colorist can bring to an identical image. If there’s any further printings of issues, we’ll be hopefully getting other colorists to bring their magic to the page.
For now, adore Jordie. She’s the Hierophant of Hues. Hail her.

I like that Look she has in her Eyes , it so Evil I feel like she would say :YOUR SOUL IS MINE  with a Cheeky grin on her face
the Wicked + the Divine  by Kieron Gillen , Jamie Mckelvie and Matt Wilson ( variant cover colored by Jordie Bellaire ) who gives this one a Sinister Glow ^_^

I adore Jamie McKelvie`s Cover for Phonogram # 2 ( to be this is a Brilliant Homage to Black Grape`s Album cover …its Great When your Straight ..Yeah  . my favorite song on the Album is its A Big Day in the North ( which I 1st heard on the opening credits of 1995`s Virtuosity …the Denzel Washington , Russel Crowe flick  ..I used to watch that movie on re-runs on TV way back when I was A Kid ) anyways I really , really liked the song Big Day in the North so ( in my teens I bought it on Itunes ) these days If I can find a copy of The CD then I would be Happy . I just love the mood of that song .
anyways I really Dig the early issues of Phonogram by Kieron Gillen and Jamie Mckelvie ( it inspired me to make my own playlist ) also this comic really makes the music lover in me swoon .
its another reason why I enjoy an Gillen /Mckelvie comic . it makes me want to listen to my favorite music while I read one of their yarns . I do the same when I go back and re-read old Issues of Savage Dragon ( that is namely a weird playlist of Rap, 80s music and Shirley Walker`s score to Batman the animated series , for everything else I turn my Ipod on Shuffle ) ^_^
I do love how Jamie Mckelvie illustrate his characters facial expressions and Body Language from panel to panel  . :D
